“Great Overnight Stay”
Reviewed November 27, 2012
We stayed just one night and were most impressed. Friendly staff, very good room which was spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast had everything you would expect, and lovely. While there we enjoyed a couple of visits to the Spa. which made the day’s driving just a distant memory. Highly recommended.

Received very good service, friendly staff, great continental breaky, clean amenities, comfy beds after a long day on the great ocean road. Great spa facilities, but missed the use of mineral pool as was closed by the time we got back each day, never mind the heated pool was lovely and relaxing. Happy camper!
“Quality Suites Deep Blue are just that ‘Quality””

We rode our Harleys along The Great Ocean Road and stayed the night at Quality Sites Deep Blue at Warrnambool and we immediatley hit the ‘WOW!’ factor, the minute you step through the
door you are impressed with the place, just classy!, we were on the 3rd floor and had lovely views of the sea, the Units were just lovely, open plan and quite uniqe, we felt it was 5 star and the best place we had stayed at in the whole 2 weeks we were on the road trip, we were impressed with the complimentery wine and enjoyed it, the robes were comfortable and the condiments were good quality, very nice indeed, wished we had book 2 nights. We had our evening meal in the Restaurant downstairs and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxing with soothing music playing as we ate, the waitressess were just wonderful, friendly and the service was great and prompt, I had seafood and my husband had lamb and the meals were very nice, the full continental breakfast was the best we have ever had with a great variety and unique food and though this came with our room booking, would have paid for it if it had not as it was really value for money and very enjoyable, there was undercover parking for our Harleys that was safe and off the street, this place is a must to stay at if you are ever down that way, we certainly will stay there again.

“Great place to stay and enjoy Southern Ocean views!”

This hotel gets it right on so many levels.
Our late arrival was handled with ease and efficiency, and I can assure you that a friendly receptionist makes a huge difference after spending 7 hours driving from Adelaide. The room was immaculately clean, with spacious bathroom, king size bed and views out to sea.
As we were tired we ordered room service and that too arrived promptly and tasted great. The stay finished with breakfast in the restaurant and again we were impressed by the quality and quantity of fruits and cereals on the continental buffet.
All in all a great stay in a fantastic hotel.

“Definitely time for it to be re-rated. More a 3-3.5 star than a 4.5 start hotel”

Hotel is reasonably comfortable. Not too convenient for business (have to drive into town) but well located for leisure travel. Here are the pros and cons
Pros:
#location – Near the water front.
#Pool – The pool is of a good size and the water temperature pleasant.
#Continental Breakfast – good selection of pastry, cereal, juice, etc.
#Design of the bathroom – to make the bathroom less claustrophobic they installed a sliding door instead of a wall. This meant that the sink could be accessed from both within the bathroom and from the main part of the room. Give the tiny size of the bathroom this meant my wife and I didn’t have to constantly bump into each other while getting ready in the morning. The lack of privacy however could be an issue for others.
#Food (room service) – we didn’t order any but the menu items looked good and prices were reasonable.
“Lovely hotel”

We stayed here for our anniversary in October. The room was light, airy, modern and very clean. The bathroom had a large mirrored folding door into the bedroom which was a nice feature and gave the impression of lots of space. We had a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony even though we were only on the second floor. The breakfast was continental style with lots of choices and the staff very professional and helpful. I am happy to recommend the hotel sleeping/breakfast but cannot recommend the restaurant for dinner.
Room Tip: Ask for a seascape room
“Sweet breakfast, awesome thermal pools”

Hi, just had a few days here, we had room 502, great views, big room, but did have real hard beds, a bit of a shame when all else was so good and sleeping is a big part of getting away.
Staff were great and breakfast was awesome, we did the dayspa thing which was real nice, but we loved the thermal pools, you have to try them out.
We will go back for sure.
Thanks.

I spent only one night here on a business trip and I have to say I was impressed. The room was light and modern, clean and well kept. Staff were very friendly and I had a reasonable view from my balcony that took in the grassy hill near the hotel and the ocean. Who cares if you have to trun your head to see a view? It’s still a view and had I not had to work I would have spent most of my time relaxing on the balcony. Woiuld defintely stay here again.

Had a five day break with the family. we all enjoyed the stay relaxed most evening in the geothermal spa. The only disappointing thing was the pool’s heating wasn’t working. In there defence they did have maintenance in fixing it but it was to late for our stay. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had a great choice all our family really enjoyed it, the kids loved the danishes.

Our room was lovely…good size, comfortable, sitting area, mini bar/tea&coffee and great shower! We were on a Groupon deal and upgraded to an overview room…if offered this please check what your view will be! We could see the ocean, just! If you looked beyond and around the large hotel opposite. The small ocean view is not worth the upgrade price. Spa was lovely, swimming pool VERY cool (colder than sea!!), I had a massage which was nice. Continental breakfast tasty and plentiful. No information in rooms so we had to keep phoning reception to ask questions about breakfast times, internet, spa etc and got a slight impression we were annoying the receptionist! Overall, great value on Groupon and we had a lovely relaxing stay, but the hotel is definitely not luxurious enough to justify normal rates.

We recently stayed here on a weekend trip to Warrnambool. Overall, the hotel is very modern and well maintained, clean and fresh. The rooms are nice, general size of a hotel room, with a king size bed, not sure if this is the norm thou. There is a small balcony too, we didn’t have ocean views but didn’t pay for them so we weren’t expecting them. The TV is large and the bathroom does have a sliding door/mirror which unfortunatley can be a bit annoying having to close it every time you need to use the toilet but I get that they have gone for a modern design. The only problem with the bathroom is the shower… be careful you don’t slip on any water! The shower door isn’t big enough and water tends to leak out onto the floor! Our accomodation also included continental breakfast, which was also very good, the usual cereals, fruits, toasts and pastries. We also decided to make use of the spa and used the private geo mineral baths. It’s $25 per person for private and $15 for public. Pay the extra and get the private! All in all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only concerns are the later check in of 2pm, the water coming out of the shower and the price comparrison to other resorts in the area. However, it can be overlooked and certainly didn’t ruin my experience!
I would highly recommend the Quality Deep Blue if you are going to be spending most of your time out and about discovering Warrnambool’s tourist attractions and eating out as it is purely just a nice hotel room, there are no cooking facilities or a separate dining area. This is a classy, well kept place to stay as a weekend escape for a couple who want to relax and if so, do make use of the spa! It really isn’t the place for families with young kids, big groups of people or couples wanting to spend long periods of time in their room.

Great getaway for the weekend with comfortable rooms and the thermal bath was a great extra for the cold winter morning.
The Pier is nearby and if you are driving, the towncenter and major tourist places are easily within 10 mins reach.

Room: The rooms were very well kept, modern and not showing signs of wear and tear. Between the bathroom and bedroom is a mirrored door that separates them. This door keeps opening and can be very embarrassing if on the toilet! The reports of the shower splashing water every were are true and kept stubbing my toe every were as there are some raised areas. Also the sink in the bathroom makes it impossible to shave! To be honest though, very nice rooms. Big plasma TV, fridge and coffee maker.
Parking: Heaps of parking.
Food: Had the continental breakfast as part of the package, was good. Variety of fruits, cereal, yoghurts and pastries. I did look at the dinner menu, nothing really catering for the “average” person, all a tad fancy. Eg no chicken parma!
Spa: We tried the private bathing spa thing that had water that came from underground. Cost $50 for two people for half an hour, I think they let it go a bit longer though! Interesting experience, the water was lovely and would most likely do it again. People at the spa friendly and helpful.
Checkout: Nice, quick and easy. Just be careful when checking in, ours was a check in of 2pm, seems a little late to me.
Cost: for me, the hotel is rather expensive when you look at the competition. We had a special rate from a discounted web page but last time we got an apartment with kitchen and 2 bedrooms for the same price as this room from a hotel very close by.
Location: right by the beach and a quick drive to the town centre and restaurants.
Overall: This is a professional hotel, that looks the part and provided an enjoyable experience. The whole place is modern and extremely well kept. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

Great little getaway spot- located a short walk out of the main town but you can walk in via beach path or via flagstaff hill area. Or catch a taxi into town ( @$8) Taxi lady extremly friendly- and gave us a tour of the Warnambool hot spots. The thermal baths were a pleasant surprise- would recommend upgrading to the multi use package. Staff very pleasant and always happy to help, We changed rooms for a better view, for an extra $20 night- view of Lady Bay and area so much better than original room’s view of side of the hotel in front of quality suites. We ordered room service one of the nights for dinner. Meals were reasonably priced and tasty. We definetly stay here again. Great little spot for a getaway weekend. Felt very pampered without a massive hit to wallet

Customer service from reception counter are very good. Lobby is very pleasant and with a fire place.
Carpark is link to the hotel corridor, so I can easily access to my car whenever i needed to and conveniently to load and unload my luggages to/from my room.
Although my room is the cheapest one, but interior of the room is very nice and comfy; Nice and comfy bedding, big TC screen, nice lighting, small balcony, open concept toilet but you may close it with the movable wall, good shower.
It’s near to the sea shore and it’s next the the beautiful Merri River.
