Step into Warrnambool’s original geothermal bathing experience, where natural warmth rises from deep beneath the earth to envelop you in soothing calm. Since opening in 2007, the Bath House has been a place where locals and travellers alike come to unwind, restore, and reconnect in naturally therapeutic geothermal waters.
Inside, the atmosphere is cocoon-like soft light, gentle echoes of flowing water, and the comforting embrace of mineral-rich pools. Each bath invites you to pause, breathe deeply, and let the tension slip away.
This is more than bathing – it’s a ritual of renewal, harnessing nature and nurtured by time. For nearly two decades, the Indoor Bath House has been a place of physical and emotional healing in Warrnambool.

FAQ
Do I need to book in advance?
We highly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time, especially during weekends or holidays. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows for public bathing. A minimum of two hours’ notice is required for all private bathing bookings.
What should I bring?
Please bring swimwear, a towel, and a non-glass water bottle. For added comfort, we also recommend bringing non-slip footwear. A water station is available inside the public bath house. If needed, towels can be hired for a $6 fee.
How do I store my belongings?
The indoor Bath House does not have individual lockers; however, open locker storage is available in both the public bath house and the change rooms.
We strongly recommend leaving valuables at home, as we cannot take responsibility for any lost or stolen personal items. If you’ve booked one of our private bathing rooms, you’re welcome to bring all your belongings into the room with you.
Are there any health restrictions?
If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or any other medical concern, please consult your doctor before using geothermal baths. Always inform our team of any health conditions prior to your visit.
If you have any of the subsequent medical conditions, we strongly recommend seeking medical guidance before using our pools:

What is the difference between the Bath House and the Hot Springs Sanctuary?
The Bath House features an indoor, public open-plan mineral pool, along with private bathing rooms that can be booked for a more personal experience. The outdoor Sanctuary offers eighteen distinct bathing pools , including geothermal rockpools, sensory caves and gentle waterfalls to explore. Both areas draw from our natural geothermal mineral waters, and many guests choose to enjoy both during their visit.
Can children attend?
All ages 5 years and over are welcome to attend the Bath House for both public and private bathing. However, they must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian if aged under 16 years. We reserve the right to ask for photo identification upon arrival.
